Product Description:

Liner Note Authors: Robert Pruter; Bill Dahl.
While many of the songs on Constellation of Rhythm and Blues are not considered classics, the majority of them are still top-notch. The 25 tracks include forgotten material by Lee Dorsey ("You're Breaking Me Up"), Wilbert Harrison ("Mama, Mama, Mama"), and Gene Chandler ("Mr Big Shot"). While these recordings didn't receive much radio airplay upon release, they are worth rediscovering, especially for those tired of the same oldies being played once too often, like Harrison's "Kansas City" or Chandler's "Duke of Earl." ~ Al Campbell
