Product Description:

Known for such B-movie gems as THE BLACK CAT, DETOUR, and THE MAN FROM PLANET X, Edgar G. Ulmer made fantastically wild and irresistibly lurid films with little to no money. A low-budget auteur with a notorious private life--he was blackballed in Hollywood for his affair with a studio exec's daughter-in-law--Ulmer left a legacy that has influenced generations of filmmakers after him. This documentary features testimonials from Roger Corman, John Landis, Joe Dante, Wim Wenders, and Ann Savage, and looks back on the director's work, which included collaborations with the likes of F.W. Murnau, Fritz Lang, and Billy Wilder.
