Description by OLDIES.com:

Highwire artists Bob and Charlie are the Flying Devils - the headliners and stars of Roebling's Circus. The act is torn apart when Charlie secretly marries beautiful and innocent Kay Rogers, who has been training to join the daredevil team. Bob, his partner, who is secretly in love with Kay, is furious when he discovers that Charlie has been unfaithful to her. During their trapeze act, Charlie falls to the ground in front of a horrified sold-out audience. He survives, but his career ending injury leaves him hollow and bitter. His mind twisted, he dedicates himself to plotting Bob's death.

Circus stars The Escalante Family perform the dazzling highwire feats in Circus Girl. Bob Livingston was best known for originating the role of "Stony Burke" in numerous Three Mesquiteers films of the 1930s and portrayed the Lone Ranger in William Witney's 1939 serial The Lone Ranger Rides Again. Contributing writer, Bradford Ropes, was the author of the perennial Broadway classic, 42nd Street.
