1967's IN CASE YOU'RE IN LOVE is one of Sonny and Cher's best and most unusual albums. In addition to the expected duets, it contains a handful of solo tracks by both Cher and Sonny. Cher supplies the exotic solo "Little Man" and the swelling "Love Don't Come." Sonny brings a pair of tracks originally released as solo singles, an almost jazzy cover of Tim Hardin's "Misty Roses" and a terrific folk-rock version of Bob Lind's "Cheryl's Goin' Home." Of the duo tracks, "The Beat Goes On" is a classic, of course, and covers of "A Groovy Kind of Love" and "You Baby" are fun, if not definitive. This expanded reissue adds three tracks, including the lovely waltz-time single "A Beautiful Story." As always with Sundazed reissues, the sound is exquisitely remastered and the package is beautifully designed, with informative liner notes.
