Description by OLDIES.com:

Athlete Johnny Kent is on the verge of winning a spot on the American Olympic team. He has been trained since childhood by his dad John, an Olympic champion who was disgraced and stripped of his medals. Young Johnny's spectacular performances in the preliminaries have won him notoriety and the attentions of several young heiresses. He soon succumbs to their charms and falls into a tailspin of drink, romance, and partying. His lack of focus brings him to the brink of athletic elimination - a lifetime of training about to be squandered on cheap thrills. His dad realizes that only desperate measures can rescue his son's career.

Olympic silver medalist Herman Brix started his acting career playing the title role in The New Adventures Of Tarzan (1935). Later, as Bruce Bennett, he had memorable roles in screen classics such as Sahara (1943), Dark Passage (1947), and Treasure Of The Sierra Madre (1948). Joan Fontaine won fame for her leading role in the Hitchcock classic Rebecca (1940) and an Oscar for her performance in Suspicion (1941).

Product Description:

A drama about an Olympic gold medalist who is stripped of his medal for playing pro baseball. He trains his son to one day recapture the gold. Leading man Brix was himself an Olympic shotputter, and the story is loosely based on the tribulations of athlete Jim Thorpe.
