Historic England - Traveler Justine Shapiro starts her historic journey at the site of the Battle of Hastings, takes in the Georgian sights of Brighton, and after a quick stop in London, heads north by barge and by bus to the Yorkshire Moors. Traveling via Liverpool, she ends her journey in the West Country at the mythical birthplace of King Arthur.
Italy:
Northern Italy - Traveler Megan McCormick visits the spectacular Italian Alps and the modern, stylish, cultural and gastronomic cities of the North including Milan, Parma, Verona and Venice.
Southern Italy - Justine Shapiro looks beyond the image of the underdeveloped South and explores Rome, Naples and countryside villages before reaching the tip of Italy's toe in Aspromonte.
France:
Northern France - Traveler Justine Shapiro starts her journey in northern France on the beaches of Normandy. Traveling east through the vineyards of Champagne, she then explores Brittany and Somme.
Southern France - Christina Chang journeys through the Bordeaux region, traveling through Arles, Marseilles and Lourdes. She ends her journey in Monaco on the beaches of the Riviera.
Spain:
Northern Spain - Traveler Shilpa Mehta starts her journey amongst the rich architecture of Barcelona then travels through Pamplona to the coast at San Sebastian. She then visits the capital Madrid before following the pilgrim trail northwest through Santiago
Southern Spain - Christina Chang begins in the ancient town of Rhonda. She follows the southern coast to La Rabida and up river to Seville. Traveling through the North of Andalusia and then through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, she ends her journey in the city of Alcoy in Valencia.
Germany:
Germany - Germany has had a hug impact on the face of Europe. Traveler Justine Shapiro's journey starts in Berlin where she learns about Germany's experiences during World War II. From there she hitches a ride to Niebull before continuing on to the incredible beaches of Sylt. After a stop in Hamburg, she moves on to the grand city of Nuremberg before completing her trip climbing Mount Yenna in the Bavarian Alps.
