Gangsters shoot down Senator Benson in cold blood as his horrified daughter Dorothy and her friend, Ann, watch. Fleeing the crime scene, the hoodlums are forced to take the two girls hostage, as they make their way to boss Ben Davis' hideout. Reporter Jimmy Dugan has underworld contacts who reveal Davis' involvement and possible whereabouts. Sent undercover by the FBI, Jimmy enters the criminal's lair disguised as a hobo in a desperate attempt to save the girl's lives!

Roger Pryor heads a cast that includes the lovely Muriel Evans and Ann Doran. Actor Sidney Blackmer's long distinguished career included roles in Little Caesar (1930), Heidi (1937), The High And The Mighty (1954), High Society (1955) and Rosemary's Baby (1968).
