HITS OF THE BEACH BOYS is a concise 10-track anthology of the surf legends' early career, featuring most of their Top 10 hits between 1963's "Surfin' USA" and 1966's "Good Vibrations."
With a dozen fairly random tracks from all phases of the Beach Boys discography, this brief set hardly scratches the surface of the group's many hits, and truthfully, not everything here was a hit in the first place. It does have the gorgeous "God Only Knows," the impossible to resist "Sloop John B," as well as the late-era single "Break Away," which wasn't a big hit but should have been. ~ Steve Leggett
