Description by OLDIES.com:

Clean-cut political reformer George Martin seems a shoe-in to unseat corrupt incumbent John Williams in the upcoming District Attorney election. Beautiful ace reporter, Betty White, has been assigned to cover the Martin campaign and help bring in the female vote. Vulnerable from her marital woes, Betty falls for the handsome candidate and romantic sparks fly. Unfortunately, a sleazy private eye catches the couple in a compromising position and has the photos which will destroy Martin's reputation and guarantee Williams' victory! With the election just days away, George and Betty must find a way to clear their tarnished names and prove that they were set up by ruthless John Williams.

Irving Pichel began his career as an actor with memorable roles in films like Oliver Twist (1933) and Dracula's Daughter (1936). When he turned to directing he produced many fine films, most notably Mr. Peabody And The Mermaid (1948), The Miracle Of The Bells (1948) and Destination Moon (1950).
