Description by

Tragedy erupts in a ball of flames as an experimental oil-fueled auto engine explodes mid-race - killing the young driver in a gruesome, spectacular crash. Mechanic "Pop"O'Shea watches in anguish as the dream that had been his revolutionary auto goes up in smoke. Cocksure stunt driver Larry "Lucky"Taylor is initially blamed for the accident, but is later cleared of any responsibility. Taylor has his own plans for Pop's volatile design, but with oil-burning cars now outlawed by the racing association, he'll have to devise a scheme to get the engine into the race without getting caught by track officials - or by Pop's brassy daughter.
