Product Description:

Based on a true story, this Lifetime original movie tells a tragic story of domestic abuse and one woman's struggle to overcome the system. Lea Thompson (CAROLINE IN THE CITY, THIRTYSOMETHING) stars as Brianne Hawkins, who meets and falls in love with Clay (James Marshall, ALIEN LOCKDOWN) at a young age, whom she marries against her family's will. The new couple starts a family, but Brianne's husband exhibits a temper that at times spins out of control. When Clay witnesses another man talking to Brianne one day, he commits a heinous crime in a fit of jealousy, and comes up with a plan to get out of the punishment. It backfires, putting both the Hawkins's behind bars, and Brianne has a startling revelation that shakes the foundations of her marriage, and motivates her to fight back against her husband and the legal system.
