Product Description:

Upon the release of their first album in 1979, Sky described itself thus: "Five of the most respected musicians on Earth are in Sky." A slight exaggeration, this was not an empty promise, as the group was comprised of renowned classical guitarist John Williams, bass player Herbie Flowers, ex-Curved Air harpsichordist Francis Monkman, drummer Tristan Fry, and Kevin Peek on keys. The resulting sound was an unclassifiable, orchestral rock that was greatly influenced by the individual musicians' classical backgrounds. Confounding critics, the records sold very well, and this concert was held at the peak of the band's tenure together, around the time of their sophomore effort. Held in Bremen, Germany, in 1980, the set list includes "Westway Carillon," "Cavatina Danza," "Gymnopedia No 1," "Cannonball," and "Where Opposites Meet Parts 1,2,3,4 & 5."
