Product Description:

This "two-fer" from the great Stevie Wonder includes two of his earliest recordings. The first, his 1962 all-instrumental debut The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie, included the studio version of "Fingertips" (the live rendition is the one most listeners are familiar with), while the 1963 follow-up, the shrewdly conceived Tribute to Uncle Ray, consisted of the then 12-year-old Wonder taking on a set of Ray Charles songs. ~ James Christopher Monger

Rating 3.0 THE 12 YEAR OLD GENIUS-LITTLE STEVIE WONDER! Music Lover: from BRONX, NY, USA -- August, 19, 2014

STEVIE WONDER IS ONE OF THE GREATS WITHOUT A QUESTION! THIS CD FEATURES HIS EARLIEST WORK WITH SONGS LIKE FINGERTIPS,I CALL ITS PRETTY MUSIC BUT THE OLD PEOPLE CALL ITS THE BLUES AND MY FAVORITE CONTRACT ON LOVE! TRUTH BE TOLD, WHEN STEVIE FIRST JOINED MOTOWN,BERRY GORDY WASNT THRILLED WITH STEVIE SINGING!HOWEVER, IT WAS THE FACT THAT STEVIE COULD PLAY 5 INSTRUMENTS THAT SOLD BERRY GORDY TO SIGN THE 12 YEAR OLD! JUST THINK 50 YEARS LATER, WHERE WOULD THE MUSIC WORLD BE WITHOUT THE MUSICAL GENIUS OF STEVIE WONDER!
