The Handley Page Victor was the 3rd and final V-Bomber that provided Great Britain's nuclear deterrent during the Cold War. Also modified to take on strategic reconnaissance duties, the Victor eventually became an airborne refuelling tanker when the Navy's submarines and their Polaris missiles assumed the deterrence mission in 1969. Here you may witness the Victor crescent winged air-to-air tanker refuelling other Victor aircraft including footage from the tanker pilot's eye view of mid-air encounters on the new famous Victor snake climb. This shows what it takes to get the aircraft into the air and what is involved in air and ground crew skills.
