Another of the thematically based 20th Century Masters collections, 20th Century Masters -- The Millennium Collection: Best of Las Vegas features definitive songs from some of Las Vegas' favorite performers, including Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife," Wayne Newton's "Danke Schoen," Tony Orlando & Dawn's "Knock Three Times," and, of course, Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual." The collection does a decent job of balancing its schmaltzier moments with some cool, understated performances such as Peggy Lee's "Fever," Dusty Springfield's "The Look of Love," and Perry Como's "Dream on Little Dreamer," although the focus is on big, brassy songs like Shirley Bassey's "Goldfinger" and Vicki Lawrence's "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia." Overall, this is an entertaining collection that captures the swanky, larger-than-life feel of Vegas in its heyday, although at just 11 tracks, 20th Century Masters -- The Millennium Collection: Best of Las Vegas seems a little shorter than it ought to be. ~ Heather Phares
