Product Description:
Unknown Contributor Role: Lee Andrews.
Here are the early Gotham sides from this marvelous doo-wop group. On the plus side, the material is top notch, kicking off with the original pre-hit version of their classic "Long Lonely Nights" and including "Leona," "Strollin' Baby," "Girl Around the Corner," and two takes of "Lonely Room," most of them featuring only piano accompaniment. The downside of this set is the utter lack of liner notes, recording or publishing information -- another cheap Collectables package; plus, some of the sides sound as if they were pulled from vinyl or acetates. Still, it's some top-notch doo wop by one of the classiest in the genre. ~ Cub Koda
