"[A] gripping true story, directed in a cool, semi-documentary style....[The film] challenges you to gauge your own courage and strength of character should you find yourself in similar circumstances."
Sight and Sound - 05/01/2006
"The film works hard at avoiding easy sentiment or heroics, but still provides a portrait of extraordinary courage..."
Julia Jentsch (THE EDUKATORS) stars as Sophie Scholl in this retelling of the last six days in the life of the famous activist. Scholl was a gutsy German college student with vehement anti-Nazi leanings. Setting up an underground resistance movement in Munich called the White Rose, Scholl and her colleagues were determined to bring Hitler and his cohorts to their knees. Sadly, it didn't happen in Scholl's lifetime, and THE FINAL DAYS documents her steely will when she was captured and interrogated in 1943 by Hitler's henchmen and finally executed.
