Tex Broderick is wanted for cattle rustling. The innocent cowpoke is wounded while fleeing from Sheriff Jim Porter and his blood-thirsty lynch mob. A tense love triangle forms between Tex, Jean and Sheriff Jim. When Cactus strikes gold, frontier justice clashes with the laws of society as a windfall of money and the promise of a better future raises the stakes.
