Description by OLDIES.com:
Ex-convict Butch Taggart has stolen a shipment of money that the state desperately needs for constructing an aqueduct. Hundreds of farmers and their families face drought, starvation and ruin if the funds are not recovered. Because of his willingness to seek justice outside of the law, "Lightning" Ken Morgan (Ken Maynard) is hired by the authorities to round up Taggart and his cronies. With pretty barmaid Mae catching his wandering eye, Ken must struggle to prevent romance from distracting him from the task at hand.
Taggart (Michael Wallon) escapes from jail and heads off in search of treasure, and "Lightning" Morgan (Ken Maynard) is sent after him. Morgan finds the map and sets out to get to the treasure first and save Mae, the heroine (Claire Rochelle), from her guardian and Taggart's partner (Charles King). One of many B-grade pictures Maynard made with Colony Pictures, the film is peppered with his bizarre improvisations.
