Charles Duke (Robert Urich) is an ambitious and overworked Justice Department lawyer who is about to leave Washington D.C. for a river rafting reunion with his hometown friends in Oregon. His vacation plans are disrupted when his boss, the Attorney General, forces him to take along a campaigning Congressman (Paul Burke) and his attractive secretary (Lee Purcell) as a political favor.
Duke's plans are further thrown into disarray when a stray bullet from the woods kills a member of his rafting party. Soon the peaceful rafting trip gives way to a fight for survival against disgruntled sawmill workers with a grudge to share. Deborah Raffin and Joel Higgins also star in this riveting thriller.
A river rafters' whitewater expedition turns into terror when the group is pursued by unknown snipers.
