It is nearly impossible to overestimate the influence of British band The Kinks on modern rock. Brothers Ray and Dave Davies and their bandmates formed in 1964 London, and soon cultivated an inventive, post-Beatles pop sound that helped defined England's "Mod" youth culture movement and was a major part of the so-called "British Invasion." Over the following decades of constant music production, the band continued to innovate and alter their sound. ONE FOR THE ROAD is a fantastic musical record of the Kinks' musical influence and growth. The video presents songs from across their long career, and includes classics like "Lola" and "Victoria," as well as some great live versions of other tunes.
