Description by OLDIES.com:
Vowing to avenge the murder of his elderly father, cowboy Jim Reid (Tom Keene) heads through rough border territory hoping to join up with his younger brother, a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman.
While on the road, Jim meets Roxy, a young blonde on her own burning mission to get even with her boyfriend Red, who just jilted her. By an strange twist of fate, Red is the bandit who killed Jim's father.
This offbeat relationship becomes even more interesting when Jim and Roxy stumble across a mysterious shiny rock, a discovery that soon precipitates the biggest gold strike in the region's history.
Tom Keene (THE GODLESS GIRL, PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE) stars is this classic western as Jim, a drifter whose father is killed by Red Gentry (Charles King, BIRTH OF A NATION), who has gone on the run after stealing his girlfriend Roxey's (Betty Compson) money. Jim and Roxey meet one another by accident and decide to join forces to seek revenge. Along the way they develop ties with the Mounties, and discover gold with a poor blacksmith; Roxey uses the money to open up a dance hall, into which she figures Red will someday wander. The pair lie in wait for an opportunity to finally collect their dues. This is the first of four Tom Keene westerns for Monogram.
