The story of a South Bronx apartment building taken hostage by a gang of crazed, junkie punks. After witnessing the miscreants shooting up heroin and lunching on rats they kill with loaded 357s, apartment dweller Hector gets fed up and turns in the band of basement squatting junkies. The police arrest them, but justice doesn't prevail. A few hours later the gang returns with only one thing in mind, revenge. The plan is simple, take over the building, terrorize, maim, torture and kill everyone, one floor at a time. This notorious urban horror, also known as "Slaughter In The South Bronx", landed an 'X' rating for its graphic depictions of violence when it first appeared in 1985!

Production Notes:

• Legendary exploitation filmmaker Roberta Findlay directs TENEMENT: GAME OF SURVIVAL. Findlay and her husband Michael made a number of violent, sex-filled B-pictures in the 1970s, including the infamous SNUFF. When Michael died, Roberta continued to make similar pictures, even becoming one of the first female pornography directors. In TENEMENT, a group of junkies thrown out of the apartment building they've been squatting in return that night to terrorize the renters. Their plan for vengeance is simply to kill everyone in the building, room by room, floor by floor. The only hope for the building's inhabitants is a group of them that decides to fight back, creating a bloody war in the tenement.
