Product Description:

In a celebration of music's power to unite diverse groups, record producer Miles Copeland set out to bring artists from the Middle East to the U.S. to work with their American counterparts. This entry in PBS's AMERICA AT A CROSSROADS series chronicles Copeland's often frustrating (and occasionally hilarious) attempts to find musicians from Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine, and usher them through the tangled webs of red tape they encounter on the way to the studio.

Description by PBS Video:

This episode offers new imagery of Arabs, not as anti-American, not as terrorists, but as artists, universally familiar in their struggle to share their talent and ideas. Follow an eclectic mix of Middle Eastern musicians from their own very specific turf in the Middle East to the United States. Once there, in Los Angeles, they collaborate with other gifted musicians from the West, finding common ground between two cultures in conflict.
