Description by OLDIES.com:

Crime novelist Neil Broderick (Chester Morris) is investigating the serial killer "Mr. Ace," so named because he sends his intended victims an ace of spades announcing the time of their murder in advance. Never one to miss a scheduled appointment, Mr. Ace stumps bumbling police investigators Clancy (Frank McHugh) and Dugan (Allen Jenkins) as he fiendishly slaughters victim after victim with a thin, sharp instrument of death. Industrial magnate Austin Winters receives Mr. Ace's death card. He boards an airplane hoping to escape his appointment with death. Thousands of feet above the earth, however, the lights go out at 7 p.m., and when they snap back on moments later, the survivors are baffled by the mystery of a mid-air murder!

Product Description:

Another creepy old mansion horror tale. This time "the Black Ace" menaces a frightened group of stranded victims, leaving his card on each of their cold dead corpses.

Rating 4.5 Tomorrow At Seven Movie Lover: from Mattoon, IL US -- March, 13, 2009

A wonderful old whodunit. Chester Morris is always the same---what a shame the old Boston Blackie movies aren't more readily available. Buy this if you like the great old character actors. Allen Jenkins & Frank McHugh lend the perfect outrageous touch.

Rating 4.0 Tomorrow at Seven Movie Lover: from Oil City, PA US -- August, 1, 2007

A pleasure to watch and guess who the murderer is. Watch this along with Sinister Hands (also available thru Oldies.com) for a great night of "Who dun it?".

Rating 4.5 A CLASSIC WHO DONE IT Movie Lover: from Moline, IL US -- March, 17, 2007

CHESTER MORRIS IN A ROLE THAT IS MUCH LIKE THE BOSTON BLACKIE FILMS. ALWAYS A HERO. GOOD WATCHING.
