The women of Wongo are an unhappy lot because their men are foul, brutish and ill-tempered louts covered in coarse body hair. Between cooking and forced lovemaking, the women worship at The Temple of the Great Dragon God and perform orgiastic rites in the noonday sun. Their jungle island paradise is forever changed when the smooth-skinned Prince of Goona visits with a proposal for the two tribes to commingle and together fight off an impending invasion by the subhuman Tribe of Ape Men. The men of Wongo are threatened by the virile pretty boy Prince and set about on a path of Goona genocide until the women rebel and create a new world order.
Narrated by "Mother Nature" herself, The Wild Women of Wongo is a prehistoric beach blanket classic that offers an eyeful of buxom warrior women as well as broad shouldered beefcake both adorned in the finest of barely-there animal skins.
Voluptuous females and homely males live together on the fertile island of Wongo, while handsome men and unattractive women reside on the nearby island of Goona. Raw passion explodes and rules the islands when each group discovers its "better half."

This film is about two tribes, the Wongo and the Goona. The Wongo women are beautiful and stunning while the Wongo men are mean, ugly brutes. And the Goona men are handsome and charming while the Goona women are unsightly, hateful hags. The movie has every B-movie element like a Wongo woman fighting a real aligator under water and a frenzied dance sequence with the Wongo women and the high priestess. This was very enjoyable to watch.

This "Z" budget romp was filmed in Myakka State Park near Sarasota, Florida. It's unintentionally hilarious, and a fun camp classic. One of the bronzed warriors is ED FURY, a 1950s icon of the muscleman posing set, looking pretty good after all these years.
