In celebration of "Jubilee 2000", Pope John Paul II commissioned a series of concerts. This concert was recorded in front of Leonardo's famous "Last Supper" painting. Selections include: Le Sette Parole Di Cristo Sulla - Haydn, Ave Verum - Mozart, Ave Maria - Gounod, Lascia Ch'io Pianga from Rinaldo - Handel, Long Mala Umbrae Terrores - Vivaldi, Ave Maria - Schubert, Sinfonia n. 40 - Vivaldi, Pieta Signore - Stradella, Ave Maria - Verdi, Panis Angelicus - Franck.

Cenacolo is "the Last Supper," and this concert was rightfully performed at the Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy, location of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece "The Last Supper." A wonderful selection of classical works performed by Cecilia Gasdia and Pietro Ballo along with the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali. Commissioned by Pope John Paul II and the Vatican, this concert was performed in celebration of the Jubilee 2000.
