Product Description:

This box set dips into the Warner Brothers vault, for six of that studio's features from the western genre. First on the bill is 1953's ESCAPE FROM FORT BRAVO, directed by John Sturges - with William Holden as a Civil War-era Union Army Captain who falls in love with a Confederate spy (Eleanor Parker). Next up is 1955's MANY RIVERS TO CROSS, with Robert Taylor as an 18th Century fur trapper accosted by Indians while fleeing an unhappy marriage to a nagging wife. The Anthony Mann classic CIMARRON (1960) stars Glenn Ford as a short-tempered cowboy during the Oklahoma "land rush" of 1889, while the John Sturges-directed LAW AND JAKE WADE (1958) stars Robert Taylor as an outlaw forcing his reformed ex-cohort (Richard Widmark) to lead him to some buried loot. The Rod Serling-scripted SADDLE THE WIND (1958) stars Robert Taylor as a rancher forced to duel with his brother (John Cassavetes). Finally, THE STALKING MOON (1968) co-stars Gregory Peck and Eva Marie Saint in the story of an army scout who helps a woman raised by Apaches escape to safety with her son.
