An Irish funeral has what's called a wake; a Jewish funeral has what's called sitting shiva; and a traditional Chinese funeral is something else entirely -- which is what the estranged siblings of a Westernized Chinese-American family discover as they try to fulfill their mother's last wish.
Estranged Chinese siblings return to their childhood home to pay tribute to their dead mother. They all had problems with her, but they honor her last wish: to be buried in a traditional Chinese funeral. As the ritual is underway, the brothers and sisters begin to reform their long-lost connections.
