Description by OLDIES.com:
Rocklin is a good man to have around. Can work the range or a poker game. And since he's played by John Wayne, that makes him even better!
Packed with starpower and hoof-and-thunder excitement, Tall In The Saddle stands tall with Western fans. Saddling up with Wayne is fellow cowpoke legend George "Gabby" Hayes, the best whisker-faced, gibberish-jabbering sidekick ever to fall off a buckboard or bail out a pal. The story opens with Rocklin stepping off a train to land work on a nearby ranch. But there may be more to his intentions than meets the eye. A wary town bigwig (Ward Bond) has his suspicions. An untamed cowgirl (Ella Raines) has her guns. And when the dust settles, Rocklin will have his two-fisted plan for justice perfectly in place.
Wayne poses as a woman-hating cowboy...until he goes to work at the Raines' Ranch.
Description by Warner Home Video:
Woman-hating cowboy becomes foreman of ranch run by pretty woman and her spinster aunt who have inherited the ranch.
When Rocklin arrives at a ranch where he's to work as a cowhand, he learns that his employer was just murdered. Although he has no friends there, and no money, this tough cowboy starts right in fighting renegades, tracking the killers, falling in love and devising a plan to inherit the dead employer's riches.
