Randolph Scott is Jefferson Cody, a former ranch foreman kidnapped by Comanche tribesmen, along with an heiress, Nancy (Nancy Gates). Cody negotiates a trade for the heiress, and the Comanches let them go. But it turns out that there is a large reward for returning Nancy, and a pack of outlaws would be happy to claim it. Newly remastered.
In this exciting western, a loner puts aside a ten year search for his kidnapped wife to help rescue another settler and is lead into an ambush staged by a vicious outlaw.
. However, he puts his quest on hold to track down Mrs. Lowe, a settler's wife who has been snatched by Indians. After Cody finds Mrs. Lowe and convinces her abductors to release her, the two of them head for Comanche Station so she can take a stagecoach home. The pair finds themselves in danger once again when their stage is ambushed, forcing Cody and Mrs. Lowe to join up with outlaw Ben Lane and his two young companions. But with a $5,000 reward promised to the man who returns Mrs. Lowe to her husband, Lane starts to get other ideas -- ideas that don't include Cody making it back alive...
