Astronomers discover an extraterrestrial satellite orbiting in space, pounding Earth's surface with thousands of meteorites. The meteors turn out to be flying saucers, transporting bizarre alien creatures who carry with them a desperate message for the world's leaders. The visitors announce that a runaway planet on a collision course with Earth is certain to destroy the planet, but the aliens have a plan. As tidal waves engulf cities and chaos rules the streets, human scientists combine their technology with the alien brainpower to save the Earth and restore peace.
This ingenious science fiction thriller was originally released in Japan with the title Uchujin Tokyo Ni Awawaru (Unknown Satellite Over Tokyo).

Very good Sci Fi Thriller!
Movie Lover: Kevin William Wardle from County Durham, England UK -- December, 14, 2004
The cover art on this Alpha DVD looked interesting so I bought a copy. The film is really very good for a Japanese Sci Fi/Thriller from the late 1950's. The effects are good, the dubbing not bad and the monsters are very strange indeed! The sound on this has a fair amount of pops and crackles, but this adds to the "feel" of the film and won't detract form the enjoyment!
Starfish from Space
Movie Lover: Rod Williams from LONDON, England UK -- January, 10, 2004
This is a very interesting Japanese take on the 'invasion' story since the aliens are benign and the main alien protagonist is female, transmogrified from her cheap but effective one-eyed starfish shape to a super-powered female in order to save the Earth.
It's a highly enjoyable romp with some good action sequences.

Yes. This one I remember as a kid as being very scary(early 70's). Something with the eye of these star-shaped aliens. Very campy and very nostalgic. Love the part of alien, who becomes a girl and acts like she has amnesia and plays tennis, leaping 10 feet! Into the air, to return a volley. Ha!! I love these types of movies and I recommend this one.
