Vintage television sitcom THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW inspires scads of cozy, feel-good nostalgia with just a few bars of its iconically whistled theme song. Griffith stars as Sheriff Andy Taylor, a widowed father and lawman who deals with the minor mishaps of daily life in small town Mayberry, North Carolina, with gentle humor and compassion. Andy's young son Opie (Ron Howard), spinster Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), and the comically bumbling deputy sheriff Barney Fife (Don Knotts) round out one of the most inspired ensemble casts in television history. This collection offers eight of the series' most beloved episodes: "The Big House," "A Wife for Andy," "The Darlings are Coming," "The Great Filling Station Robbery," "Mountain Wedding," "Opie and the Spoiled Kid," "Aunt Bee's Medicine Man," and "The Rival."
