-- "Streamlined opener 'Don't Pretend You Didn't Know' boasts eye-opening use of piano before J. Mascis's beauteous sustain solo."
Paste (magazine) - "I BET ON SKY isn't content to simply balance noisy choruses and powerful riffs. It has melodic moments like 'Almost Fare' and plenty of the kind of forlorn roaring that makes 'Watch the Corners' an instant repeat."

When Dinosaur Jr. first reunited in 2005, it seemed unlikely they would stay together very long, but seven years later they're releasing I Bet on Sky, their third album since reuniting (and tenth overall). Continuing along the lines of the later part of their original run, Dinosaur Jr. are playing the melodic, high-volume indie rock that helped them make the jump to the major labels over 20 years ago. While the group's longevity might be a bit of a surprise, lead single "Watch the Corners" makes it clear that this album will earn its place in the band's stellar discography.
