Performers, Cast and Crew:
This program presents a double feature of comic crime capers. In CHARGE OF THE MODEL T'S (1979), bumbling Mexican guerrillas team up with an inept German spy to infiltrate the U.S. during WWI, while in THE SWITCH (1976), an escaped prisoner unwittingly takes the place of a skilled con artist, with chaotic consequences.
Description by VCI Home Enteraintment:
CHARGE OF THE MODEL T's: It's 1918 - WWI - The Germans try to encourage certain Mexican guerillas to make trouble on the Texas border, thinking that our war effort will somehow be slowed down. Masterminding this insane plot is a German spy (Louis Nye), who has at his disposal, the ultimate secret weapon - RS-4 - a specially equipped weapon-bearing automobile of awesome speed. But, a US army lieutenant counters that with his own fleet of model tracers.
THE SWITCH: This hilarious comedy film details the escape of two notorious con men from jail, and their misadventures in attempting to outdo one another. Eventually, the younger "sting" artist outsmarts the older con teacher (Quinn), as they weave in and out of chaotic trouble together.
