Given the breadth of his discography and the number of budget packages on the market, it can be difficult to find a quality Ravi Shankar collection. THE MAN AND HIS MUSIC is a sure-fire bet, however. This two-disc set--divided into "The Radical" and "The Classicist" to represent the two sides of Shankar's aesthetic-- features some of Shankar's best collaborations with the likes of Ustad Zakir Hussain and Ali Akbar Kahn, and plenty of his stunning sitar work.
