In the decades that Los Invasores have been plugging away in the norteņo genre, they have never quite reached the top tier of superbands. Still, they've consistently delivered pure blues-infused boleros and crisp polkas, as demonstrated by "Olguita la de Chihuahua," "Polo del Real," and "Un Tipo Celular." Fronted by lead singer-accordionist Javier Rios, Los Invasores are a tight ensemble known for crunchy accordion riffs and the basic, German-influenced "oompah-oompah" percussion. Another highlight here is the melodic bolero "Leyendas," which shines through the band's infectious vocal harmonies. Humorous polkas are delivered in "La Perra Anda Suelta" and "Ni Beeper Ni Celular." --Ramiro Burr
