The Savage Guns (1962, 84 mins.): In Sonora, in a lonesome valley near the border of Arizona, former Confederate officer Mike Summers tries to forget about the horrors of the war of independence on his farm. His hopes of peace and vow of anti-violent behavior are challenged when a gang of villains, led by brutal gunman Danny Pose, ravage his small town. A glimmer of hope appears when a wandering gunslinger, Steve Fallon, comes into the picture. However, Fallon soon realizes that he may not be able to handle the bad guys alone.
The Proud Rebel (1958, 103 mins.): After seeing his home destroyed in the Civil War, a young boy (David Ladd) goes mute. He and his father, a stubborn southern widower (Alan Ladd), travel the breadth of the Great Plains searching for a cure. When they get into a scrape, a farm woman (Olivia De Havilland) takes them in and finds a way to communicate with the boy.
