Product Description:

Candy Morrison (Barbara Hershey), a bible-school teacher and quiet respected member of a conservative Texas community, initiates an adulterous affair with a neighbor. When he breaks it off, his wife is found brutally mutilated by an ax, and Candy is charged with the crime. Her attorney enlists the aid of a psychologist to delve into her past - was it revenge or an act of self-defense.

Plot Synopsis:

Candy Morrison is a wife, mother, Bible school teacher -- a model citizen as far as the neighbors in her small Texas town can see. That is, until she strikes up an affair with the husband of a friend and ends up hacking the other woman to pieces with an ax. In the trial that follows this TV mini-series explores the motives behind an extraordinary, real-life murder.
