Tunin, a peasant-anarchist, arrives in Rome with plans to assassinate Benito Mussolini. He resides in a lively bordello awaiting the day of the murderous deed. Tunin's political commitment fades as he enjoys the fruits of his surroundings and falls in love with one of the working girls. The thin line between the personal and the political is then tested for Tunin with disastrous results.
