The Spy In White (1936, 93 mins.): Set in Turkey, James Mason stars in this spy thriller about two guards who lose their jobs when they get into a fight with an Arab prince who tries to seduce one of their girlfriends.
Little do they realize that the prince is involved in a massive plot to overthrow the government of Turkey.
When Mason learns of the conspiracy, he and his ex-partner go undercover to stop the Arab prince from carrying out his plan.
Great action and a fine performance by James Mason highlight this classic thriller. Secret Agent (1936, 83 mins.): Alfred Hitchcock's Secret Agent is an espionage thriller that has more twists and turns than a mountain road.
Deception is the main theme.
Characters hide their true intentions, people are not who they appear to be, and beautiful buildings hide the terror that happens inside. John Gielgud stars as a British spy who teams up with another agent, Madeleine Carroll, on a mission to kill an enemy agent working in Switzerland.
Great suspense and action plus a brilliant performance by Peter Lorre make this a must see Alfred Hitchcock film.
