Description by OLDIES.com:
One of the rarest of all Boris Karloff films, this seldom seen Italian mystery places the King of Horror on a beautiful island paradise amidst nefarious activities. Filmed on the picturesque Ischia, sister island of Capri, and home to many other films such as Burt Lancaster's The Crimson Pirate
and Steve Reeves' epic Morgan The Pirate
, Karloff seems to have taken Island Monster
(1953) strictly for the money and a breezy island vacation.
Also featured on this disc is the uncut Chamber of Fear (1968) (aka The Fear Chamber), one of Karloff's last films, shot partially in Hollywood and completed in Mexico City. American scenes were written and directed by Roger Corman protege Jack Hill (Spider Baby) in a matter of days. Boris Karloff passed away shortly after his scenes were completed. property Master (and later film director) Robert Vincent O'Neil (Angel, Angel 2, Blood Mania) recalls his days on the set of Karloff's last films in an exclusive video featurette.
This double feature includes two films from the master of terror and suspense--Mr. Boris Karlof. ISLAND MONSTER takes place on a beautiful location, far from civilization, where dastardly going on take place. CHAMBER OF FEAR involves a string of deadly death-filled events, all brought about by a mysterious living rock!
