"...The seemingly timeless emotion of old-fashion symphonic score....starting strongly with minimalist-derived rhythmic pulsations under spine-tingling, blockbuster-worthy climaxes..." - Rating: B
Original score composed by John Williams.
Includes liner notes by Stephen Spielberg.
A.I. was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.
Composer John Williams has penned the scores for some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters ever. It is nearly impossible to imagine the gripping emotion of E.T. or the terrifying tension of JAWS without recalling, at least in part, the perfectly appropriate score by Williams. For the science-fiction drama A.I. (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE), Williams presents frequent collaborator Steven Spielberg with another winning soundtrack--here, symphonic drama meets with futuristic electronic sounds to convey the man/machine-themed narrative.
