Product Description:

In this original film in the Francis the Talking Mule franchise, a heroic, but anxious soldier, Peter Stirling (Donald O'Connor) strikes up a friendship with Francis, the Army mule. Unfortunately for Peter, Francis will help him with his romantic problems, but won't show his skills to anyone else! As a result, Peter keeps getting sent to the psychiatric ward for insisting on the mules amazing abilities.

Plot Synopsis:

The first in the popular "Francis the Talking Mule" series. While fighting in Burma, Army soldier Peter Stirling is befriended by the eponymous, intelligent animal -- who helps Peter become a war hero. But unfortunately, Stirling is labelled a lunatic every time he tries to explain that Francis can actually talk...
