But Carter used to be Col. Desmond, a hero of the Confederate Army. The war's over, but his soldiering skills are still in demand: a group of ex-Confederate miners need protection from the embittered Unionists and corrupt lawmen who run Copper Canyon.

Product Description:

Vaudeville sharpshooter Johnny Carter (Ray Milland), posing as a Confederate officer wanted by the Union army, arrives in a small southern town after the Civil War to find a group of copper miners being terrorized by corrupt lawmen.
