In this 1958 odyssey of a German crime thriller from director Erich Engel, a sickly young boy witnesses a gang of vicious criminals murder his mother and is subsequently kidnapped by them. When one of the kidnappers, a singer who was forced into helping with the job, discovers that the boy will die in a week without treatment, she turns to the investigating police before disappearing herself. And that's only the beginning of this twisty thriller.
An action packed drama about a sick boy who witnesses his vamp of a mother being murdered and then gets kidnapped when the murderers realize he witnessed the act. The young boy only has seven days to live without treatment. The police are always just one step behind the kidnappers. The plot thickens when there is an interesting turn of events as to who the kidnapper is. One of the kidnappers is a female singer who has been forced into helping with the malicious job but changes her mind as the boy becomes weaker and turns to the police to help. She is found out and then disappears herself. There are plenty of sexy women in risqué lingerie in the nightclub scenes and many compelling twists and turns to keep the viewer guessing until the very end.
