"Maria Callas doesn't sing and barely speaks, but her ironic presence was clearly more than sufficient for Pasolini's purposes: a legend is fleshing out a myth."
An adaptation of the Euripides play about the woman who helped Jason steal the Golden Fleece. Maria Callas is featured in her only non-operatic role as the vengeful title character. This 1970 film is one of Pier Paolo Pasolini's most memorable films.
