In this delightful post-WWII comedy, serviceman Jim Scott (William Lundigan) returns home, anxious for a blissful reunion with his wife (June Haver). Instead, he finds that she has bought a run-down apartment building, complete with a long list of expensive repairs. To complicate matters, Scott decides to rent one of the apartments to an "old army buddy" - but that "buddy" turns out to be a seductive ex-WAC (Marilyn Monroe)! Then, when a man wanted by the FBI moves into the building, the couple finds that there is truly no place like their hilarious home!
Jim and Connie are a married couple who try to return to normal life after the War, but their new rundown brownstone causes no end of problems. As Jim tries to write his novel he keeps getting distracted by building problems and the new tenants. Featuring early appearances by Marilyn Monroe and future TV host Jack Paar.
