After suffering the loss of his late father's dynasty, Juan (David Hemmings) turns to a life of cruelty to restore his personal sense of power. Louise (Alida Valli), Juan's spineless mother, reluctantly endures her son's unnatural cruelties. An innocent peasant girl (Andrea Rau), falls victim to Juan's twisted actions and is tortured and degraded to the point of submission. Yet revenge lurks in the horizon as Lola is the one who gains the true strength...the power so vital to Juan's existence.
