The last disc George Benson recorded before his 1976 Top 40 commercial breakthrough, IN CONCERT finds him closing a chapter on the instrumental phase of his career in fine style. In this 1975 set, Benson stretches out and lets his fingers burn on some jazz classics ("Take Five" and "Summertime," on which he sings), while Ronnie Foster (organ) and Hubert Laws (flute) provide exemplary accompaniment.
